Confluence
Materials: Atlantic and Pacific sea vines, cotton twine, steel wire on steel stand. 2021. Combining species of sea vine not found in the same ecosystem suggests nature’s adaptability, regeneration and expanded definitions of beauty, from which humans could wisely learn. These two lived and dried distinctly, and now converge in hybridity: beyond gender, body, heritage or other boundaried storyline, they suggest to us more vast and unified ways of perceiving and being at a time of great change.
