Excitable Cells ii

This painting is about memory, and how the brain "fires" signals. Layers of memory reveal lost "treasures", and uncover things forgotten. The use of metallic paint also makes for a painting that shifts, depending on how the light hits it, or where the viewer stands, just as memory shifts and changes. All this reminds us how thoughts and memories are layered and fleeting, 'til they are uncovered again, IF they are uncovered again. This piece is done in shades of light green, cream, white, and silver, and appears differently depending on how the light hits, making for a dynamic, ever-changing piece of art.
